Flu Shot....Or Not??

Let me just start by saying that my children and I have never had a flu shot for regular seasonal flu....So I guess my question would be, how important is it to you to make your children get the flu shot every year? Also, if you were in my shoes, would you still get the new h1n1 flu shot when available in october? It's questionable to me. I feel like this whole "swine flu" pandemic has been totally blown out of porportion and I don't know what to believe anymore. I'm still waiting on the kiddo's doctor to call me back with his answer to all of these questions, but I thought I would share and see what you guys thought. Thanks! :)

Summer Time

I'm following in a friends footsteps and once again catching up my blog with lots of pictures.. it has been a very busy summer for us! We've been to the following places on more than one occasion over the past couple of months, first of all because the kids and I love it but most of all because it's cheap! :)

Chandler and Maddie weren't too thrilled with Cathedral Caverns but it was something different for us to experience and the drive was beautiful!
And of course Maddie loves to pose for all of her pictures these days.. such a character!

In the meantime, i've let my hair grow out and played around with some lovely color in a bottle!

Chandler has a new toy... gotta be a "John Deere"! And it helps that his favorite color is green just like his daddy! :)

Look who else loves their daddy! She's always kissin' on him and telling him how much she loves him, it's the sweetest thing!
A little bit too close for comfort for me but after I threatened Madison's life in front of God and everyone, I was pleased with the picture.. but don't bet there will be a second!

After hitting Little River Canyon and DeSoto Falls they needed a little break.. here they are just chillin on the rocks above the falls.. Aren't they too precious?

I love the hiking trails at High Falls in Geraldine, AL... they make such good backdrops for pictures too!

Here's Maddie at Lake Winnie.. little miss brave.. her daddy taught her to hold her hands up on the miniature pirate ship to get the full effect, and without missing a beat.. she did it!

My sweet little ladybug riding a ladybug.. and in case you cannot see them, her "kids" are in the back seat and she was talking to them throughout the entire ride.. oh the imagination.. hee hee

Looking over the bridge at high falls, the old bridge there was so neat and the history behind the place was very facinating..

And I leave you with Maddie, driving off into the sunset in her lake winnie furnished boat!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer as much as we have but I'm definitely looking forward to the Fall, my favorite time of year! :) Until next time...

New Favorite Hobby

It just amazes me how far things have come since I was a kid. I love that I can let the kids paint in my living room floor and not have to worry about what else they may paint other than their paper! We love all of the Crayola Color Wonder's products, and the kids do too! Here are a few pix of them enjoying their new favorite hobby! :) Enjoy!
Can't you just see the mischief!!

Slippin' Slidin'

Well, my babies have finally learned how to slip and slide on their own!!
Before this year when we would set out the slippin' slide, we would have to take turns throwing them down the slide! (a total back-breaker)
They are getting so big and it just amazes me each and every day that these little angels are a part of me!
They can be so sweet sometimes and then when they aren't being sweet, the faces when they're mad makes me smile even more! I love them so much!

Catching Up... Part 2

Okay, so here's part two...
Me, Madison, Chandler, Maddie, My brother Andy, his wife Beth, their two kids, Kylie and Lexi, and My mother and my nephew Noah all took a trip to Disney World!!

This is Me, My brother and My two nieces Kylie and Lexi

This is When We First Arrived (BEFORE)

Well, lets just put it this way, the oldest child there was Chandler and he's only four... WE WON'T GO BACK UNTIL THEY'RE 10!!!

This was right before we left..(AFTER)

It was 95 degrees and 100% humidity! FUN FUN! Madison said it should have been considered child abuse taking them there in that kind of heat... but we did it, and we had fun! But we were very glad to go back to the condo and relax in some A/C. Maddie went to sleep at 4pm and slept until 8:30am the next morning!

Anyways, We did have a really good time and after a few days at Disney, Madison and I took the kids over to the beach for a couple of days and we really enjoyed it as well. Maddie the Movie Star
Big Brother watching out for Maddie

Already going thru the "i'm too embarrassed to be seen in public with my family stage" :)My Little Angel Napping...
Well, I guess that's enough for now.. it's hard to pick just a few pictures to show everyone but I think I summed it up pretty well. We cannot wait to go back to the beach with the kids, they had more fun there than anywhere else we went!

Catching Up... Part 1

This is exactly why I never blog... i'm too busy... now I have a million things to blog about and don't know where to start...

Okay so I guess i'll break this up into segments.

We took the kids to the park at trenton to play one Saturday and they had the best time ever! And I was able to get some cute pix of them having fun, too!

My Chandler just graduated from his class at daycare so he will be starting pre-K this fall.... (tear) (tear)

And Maddie will be graduating to the "big class" this fall as well... i'm so not ready for all these transitions!!

I had the most lovely Mother's day! My mom came in town and we all went to church together and took some pictures of our four generations...i'm so blessed! I love my mother to death, she's my best friend!!

Well that's a wrap for part 1, hopefully I can get the rest of the stuff up tomorrow.. the whole disney trip/beach trip/hangin out at the river and so on and so on....

~ HELP ~

Well, as of April 15, Madison and I will be married four years! WOW, I cannot believe I have put up with him this long! Anyways, If I start rambling about how far we've come, this blog will never end, SO... I'm asking you guys to help with some ideas of things we could do for our little celebration... I have the hardest time because he already has EVERYTHING, he's such a brat! and I love Over-the-Top celebrations, and he likes the xtremely subtle things... SO.. please help me, I don't have a clue what to get or what to do! Thanks pals!

Thanks to everyone for their ideas and such! We had a wonderful anniversary, we went to dinner (alone) and we went.... drum roll please.... it doesn't get any more romantic that this.....GROCERY SHOPPING!! (of course without kids) And that's what made it special... i think we spent like two hours in the friggin grocery store just looking at everything!! :) Madison and I both thoroughly enjoyed this, how ever weird this makes us!
Thanks again for everyone's help! :)
